Community Profile

Strategically placed at a crossroads set an equal distance from Albuquerque, NM, Amarillo, TX, and Denver, CO. Considered the northern “Gateway to the Land of Enchantment,” we have a rich and romantic history which features excellent examples of architecture from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s.  The elevation varies from 6,352 at the municipal airport to 7,834 at Raton Pass and 8,800 above Sugarite Canyon State Park 12 miles to the east.
