Shayne Young | President
Shayne Young has been a board member of GrowRaton since December of 2025, and he serves as the organization’s president. Shayne is an Australian who has traveled the world since his early 20s and now calls Raton, New Mexico, home. A certified Land Rover ACE mechanic, Shayne’s skills in troubleshooting and fixing vehicles on the trail are second to none. He has a passion for the Overland Lifestyle, culinary delights, Land Rovers, and animals. He and his wife brought Moss Adventures—an experiential and adventure travel company focused on overland expeditions in custom-built Land Rovers—to Raton in 2022. In 2024, he started Raton Property Maintenance.
Brandy Dietz | Vice President
Brandy Dietz is formerly the marketing director of a national plaintiffs’ law firm based in Dallas, Texas, where she worked for over 20 years. She is skilled in digital media and has an associate’s degree in communications. Brandy and her husband, Michael Brown, moved to Raton in 2020 after purchasing Raton Pass Motor Inn, a vintage roadside motel. With an interest in experiential travel, Brandy enjoys welcoming people to the Motor Inn and providing a motel experience that leaves guests eager to return. As an advocate for professional development, she served in leadership roles with the Legal Marketing Association from 2013 to 2018. She was a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor and matched with her Little for over ten years. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Brandy is a member of the Sierra Club and Friends of Sugarite. In her spare time, she loves traveling, running, mountain biking, hiking, and sailing.
Dr. Loretta Conder | Secretary
Dr. Loretta Conder has been a board member of GrowRaton since December of 2025, and serves as the organization’s secretary. Dr. Conder is a practicing internist in Raton, New Mexico. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has been practicing for over 30 years. Her top areas of expertise are Type 2 Diabetes, Renovascular Hypertension, Nephrosclerosis, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Dr. Conder is affiliated with Miners’ Colfax Medical Center, where she also serves as vice chair on the Board of Trustees.
